transparent printer paper

Debora59

I made a few stained glass windows with transparency printer paper [ expensive stuff ]

I kept coming back to the idea despite the cost. But does anyone know how long it takes to dry? its been at least 12 hours and its not dry yet.

This is intended for the upstairs hallway back wall so I will be making a window sill frame for it and cant wait to see it in the house with light behind it.

I really like this house with the back wall on it but wanted more natural light to come in as well.

From the album:

Designing my own house

Yeah, something is very wrong. I use the printer here at work all the time to print transparencies and they're always dry within minutes.

Not to insult you but are you sure you printed to the correct side? Even so, it should still be dry. I wonder if a fixative would make things worse?

Wow, very pretty! This is going to look great! :)

I used a inkjet printer with no problem, but the transparencies I used had a specific side that needed to be printed on. It was rougher than the other side. And, like Jennifer said, it dried quickly.

Good luck, hope you get it worked out!

Looks great!! I think you might have printed on the wrong side. There are two sides one rough and the other is smooth and shiney you need to print on the rough side. It should have dried very quickly. I have used them a lot and within minutes it is dry. Good luck. I love the look you have here, it is going to look beautiful!!!

You might want to check to see if your paper is compatible with your printer.

I bought some paper that did not work well with my printer, it beaded up and would not dry. :(

You can get transparencies made at Office Depot for about a dollar or so for a sheet.

Well the box said I can print on both sides, and they feel no different on either side so...I am not sure it must the wrong printer with the wrong type of transparency. So Maybe I will have them make one for me
