Augusta Maine Miniature show

Hallowell

I purchased this handmade vintage early 60's fireplace at the Augusta Maine dollhouse show this morning from Elaine Perkins, a wonderful doll artist from Maine. It was in her mothers large dollhouse collection. I fell in love with it because of it's simplicity which is very different from what I usually collect, but something about it called to me. The base is carved slate and the firplace itself is made from what looks like scrap pieces of wood, it's just so charming I had to share it with all of you. :)
