I had an idea to stain the base, so I outlined were the house sits and stained only inside the house to see if I would be happy with dark floors, I LOVE IT! And it was a quick fix for now because I have been extremely busy with work this month and really do not have the time to install at this point.

I was hoping you'd use a floor with a deep shine,BUT,these floors are beautiful,PERFECT !!! :)

Thanks, I want a glossy sheen too. this is a test, I like it alot, but may try a varish type coat over

I love the floor as well. I think it is a touch that will give the house an artist's stamp. It's a nice folk contrast to the incredible detail of the house and furnishings.
