I know what you mean! Thats partly why I don't light houses....too expensive! Jeanne mentioned using the book lights in Dollar Tree. They were out of them of course when I went to look but they might work also. They have those cute little lights on a key chain you might look at.

good ideas here!! the only houses i'm lighting are the beacons due to the cost and still have 10 lights to buy! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
