Afghan by Mary

otterine

I've faked an afghan before with venise lace, but I am ever in awe of those who can actually crochet in miniature. I have the patience for needlework, but I don't think I could wrap my mind around using sewing thread as yarn with a tiny crochet hook well enough to produce anything close to resembling the works of art Mary at Woodland Miniatures makes. After admiring her work for close to a year, I bought myself an early Christmas present...one of her fabulous miniature crochet afghans, just like the ones my grandma and great grandma used to make (mom still has one of the life sized ones).

The afghan is wonderful - and I agree with you completely; I have been coveting Mary's afghans since I first saw them. I sometimes think that I should teach myself to crochet so that I could make one. Then I wake up.
