MerriMagic 13 Posted December 14, 2010 Yup, those are mullions...or in laymen's terms 'shims', to fill in spaces when a window is too small for a window opening.Just set them aside, ok? Put the exterior of the window through the front of the wall, and the back part of the window trim will meet it inside the room. When all else fails, look on google and google "Install Dollhouse Windows". I'll go look for you but in case I miss something, you look too, ok? There should be a really good tutorial somewhere.Back inna bit~LOL ok I'm back. I just read your last post in the forums..you say the windows fall down? I take it that you mean that the opening for the windows is too long? Am I correct? If so, you can shim the windows up till they fit tight, by putting the extra wood on the top and bottom of the opening, until the windows don't fall down.Hope I'm understanding here Jeanne Quote Link to comment
Brezavaqt 61 Posted December 14, 2010 I'm thinking you mean that the windows themselves fall down when you hold the window upright. I use a tad bit of glue (use a toothpick) to glue the top windows in place, so they don't slide down. Remember, these are mini windows and they aren't going to slide up and down like our real life windows. You are creating the option of being able to show that the windows actually open and close.
