The building is done!

Probably another 6 months to get the interior decorated, but the house only needs one short ceiling beam added,door handles, and the wood base to cover that awful particle board-DH is doing that. So glad to have this reno finished, it's almost easier to build from scratch than to fix an old house with 'problems'. The roof really is not bowed, just an awkward photo angle.

Great job Sherry, I love the aging on the interior walls. I've done something similar with my Russian house - no ideal homes catalogue for me either. Was thinking about those ants nests that get built up in the rafters - not appropriate for my house - too cold there I suppose but do they have them where your trading post is located. I remember having them in houses I lived in in Africa - little sort of bee hive constructions built out of mud - and a couple of geckos on the wall.

Spent today putting in windows.

This has been a most AMAZING transformation, Sherry! What a wonderful job you've done! I love all the little details, and the wonderful job of aging the building....I could sit a look at it for hours! :p
