Miss Cindy Lou graduates from Obedience School

Starfire

Just after we adopted her she attended Obedience School. I wish I could say she did so at the top of her class but she didnt. Couldnt get her to lay down on the cold floor.

Not laying down on the cold floor is a sign of intelligence..she's no fool!

I had a doberman I took through obedience trials..he was frequently cited for not quite touching the ground with his butt. I felt sorry for him and his relatively 'bare bottom' and stubby tail. I'm convinced that his tail tip jamming against the ground also contributed to his hate of sitting..he would always lie down when resting, or keep his haunches just off the floor when attempting a sit.

Another issue was showing at a match or trial, when it was drizzling. Chopper would hate to be out in the rain because it would run into his ears.

Boxers are so darn smart! I grew up with one next door to us..her name was Duchess and she was so gentle! I never saw a dog wriggle so much LOL, it's like they're trying to make up for the missing long tail!

Love the picture! We had a Basset named Murray who went to obedience school twice. I think he passed the second time because the teacher didn't want him back a third time! Murray did what he wanted to do. If he didn't want to walk, he laid down. He then learned if he peed, when the instructor came over and touched him, she wouldn't come over.

Precious! I have pics of my dogs' graduations ~ boy is it hard to keep that mortarboard on long enough to get the shot.
