She's lovely Julie, I can't believe how quickly you made all of those santas too. How long does it take you to make a doll?

Thank you! the body is wire and i wrap with yarn with a bit of batting in the butt, i find that wrapped yarn makes a doll far more flexible than a sewn and stuffed body. as for how long it takes? If i have nothing else to do, including forgetting to eat and go to the bathroom (literally hubby has to feed me when I have to do nothing else), I can maybe do 3-4 complete heads/hands/feet in about 8-10 hrs i think? then there is painting and wrapping, and then dressing of course! I gave up long ago trying for perfection in sculpting. I could spend days on one and not be any happier with it! I sculpt till the face/person seems to be there and then stop myself. and dressing, i have to stop myself from spending days on one normally cause i want to do things like beadwork and embroidery LOL

oh and Jo LOL when i posted the question about what kind of santas people like, those santas were done to that point already...i rarely get the 8-10 hrs a day! so they werent done in a day! LOL real work, kids, animals (goats, horses, chickens etc) get in the way!
