JaniceG 19 Posted September 24, 2010 Don't know what it is, but I like it. Is it front opening? Quote Link to comment
Alexander 524 Posted September 24, 2010 Yes! It has four large rooms and an attic(also opens). I am about to finish the facade and interior decoration. I expect some items form UK. When it is ready I'll download some photos for you. Quote Link to comment
deb's designs 17 Posted September 24, 2010 I like the style of this house.I'm looking forward to see what you do with it.I really like front opening houses, they keep the dust out. Quote Link to comment
Alexander 524 Posted September 24, 2010 Deb I totally agree with you about the dust, thought it has many openings(I made and put curtains in the windows). When I first saw this house I felt in love with. It has exactly the elegant and symmetrical facade I needed.Pinn1056 I can't wait either! Hope to finish it soon... I eagerly expect by the post three packages with goodies the following weeks....The main furniture and decoration is already finished but details make the difference. Quote Link to comment
Jo Med 1,017 Posted September 24, 2010 Alexander, its looking fabulous - which house is it? I can't wait to see the inside. The only thing I would add is that you could age the facade and the roof to add to the realism - a bit of green mossy stuff in the angles of the roof or maybe a dark grey wash where the tiles ad the brickwork have aged a bit. Alexander 524 Posted September 24, 2010 What a wonderful idea!I do not know the firm. I did not notice when I bought it . It must be English if I remember correct. Quote Link to comment
kreativitea75 79 Posted September 24, 2010 Your description on what you are planning to do with this house sounds so interesting. Your attention to detail in what you are planning sounds very inspiring and educational ("white floors were common then"). Can't wait for more! Quote Link to comment
Alexander 524 Posted September 24, 2010 I am just an amateur hope no to disappoint you I loved the process of making it and now decorating it. I think that I have capture the atmosphere I wanted to give. In the near future you'll tell me(be kind...) Quote Link to comment
MerriMagic 13 Posted September 24, 2010 Heya Alexander That is one cool house front, I like it! And I love front opening dollhouses..after I finish Mystic Moggie, (the great big one in my gallery), I will save up for RealGoodToys house East Side Townhouse. My own home is very very tiny, less than 800 sq feet..so I can't own but a couple of dollhouses or I'll get crowded out.Nice job on the bricks on your house, by the way. We're all looking forward to pictures. Don't wait till a room is all done..we want to see the progress, for half the fun is getting there, yes?If you make any furniture, be sure to show us pictures of that too!OH, you asked me how big my big dollhouse is..it's 48 inches long, and almost three feet high! Sorry but I don't know how to convert to centimeters. Again, nice to meet you! Quote Link to comment
Alexander 524 Posted September 25, 2010 I know the feeling of lack of space. My room is already full with books etc so I cant afford too to make another doll house. Tomorrow I'll download some pictures but you must be kind... Thank you all for your support. Quote Link to comment
