Yep, the entire wall area to the right is just one solid piece of wood. Screws won't work with brick and the weight would have made the swing-out wall too heavy, so a wood panel was the only practical option.

Great job! You can't even tell it opens let alone that there isn't real brick. The whole thing looks about as real as you can get.
