My Spring Fling is the Oak Grove Cottage. This is the cottage of the woodland fairy, Bryony. This is where Bryony creates magic wands and bottles her fairy dust. She does this in the main floor dining area. The large doors that open allow for easy fairy flying. I used the basic garage kit for the main floor and then used the add on building to create Bryony’s second floor bedroom. I then created her balcony. I used paper clay to sculpt the cobble stones and stucco. The Oak Grove cottage also has hand grouted floor, a hand thatched roof and two original working fireplaces. The windows and outdoor lights are made with mica. I have make most of the furniture except for the desk, table and stools. I loved creating this project. Enjoy the magic!

Bryony has a magical home indeed! Can I ask how the mica was to work with? I have some that I would like to use in a special setting ... but it seems so fragile. Did you protect/reinforce it somehow? (Apart from a few spells, of course! :p )
