I love the way the "stained glass" turned out. My son and I really agonized over what to put into them. At first we made a set with fist, scenery, trees...but we just weren't thrilled with them. Then I thought of the mariner flags that each represent a letter, so we spelled out his nick name "Xander". He was really happy with it, because he knows it's his name.
I made the glass with the same plastic sheet they sent with the kit. I used the thinnest black perminant marker I could find, then I filled in the sections with glass gel pens from the scrapbook store. I love the look! And you get a full shot view of the very beatten up aluminum boat. Boy I hope my dads boat doesn't look that bad this summer! I guess that's what you get when the water level is low!
