the Boats

jandjhartley

Aparently the water level is low this year. I was working on the rock foundation and didn't realize that not all of the water had solidified yet, so the water slowly migrated out of the boathouse. Oh well, at least I made the bottom look good with some sand before I poured the water. This is the canoe that I broke off the base and refinished. I'm happy with the way the boards on the dock look. I used the silvering wash on them as well, and I used the dremmel to roughen up the edges which was a lot of fun!

You did a wonderful job on this! Love the interior, it looks like boathouses down here do during the heat of the summer-boats sitting in shallow water waiting for rain to fill the lake-very realistic!

Weathering on the dock looks fabulous. It looks as though a lot of boats have banged up against those boards.

Is the cat watching for the frogs and the ducks?
