Mackintosh light

otterine

Sorry for the poor photo quality, but the electric is out on the house as I work on the wire channels.

I ordered this light online from a supplier in the UK and just received it today. What a huge light fixture - just over four inches tall. I didn't think the Newport's 10-inch ceiling height would be enough to make it work well. There's no way to shorten it, either. But, I taped it in place before (with a sad heart) returning it.

I love this light here. I don't think it overpowers the room after all. With the Mackintosh chairs, the fixture fits in well with the style of the room, and the light color of the finish keeps it from being too bulky regardless of its size. Looks like a keeper! <img src="http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Very nice - as always. Glad you are keeping it. If you think it hangs still a little too low, can you notch out the ceiling some and have it recessed a little?

You'd be CRAZY to return this light...it totally makes the room without being overpowering. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Oh, and when you're through(ha,ha) with this

house you should probably put together a BOOK instead of just having a million awesome pictures.I'd buy one!!!!
