Very cute idea!!

However, I'd worry about the second floor not having any support as a result of leaving out the divider.

I LOVE it!! I'd take my chances with the support being left out. The mini folks will just have to remember not to have any parties and have too much weight on the second floor!!

As in real life - opening up or removing a wall gives the impression of so much more space. I love it. If you are worried about supporting the 2nd floor how about using a column, stained to match your wood?

Whats nice about the Princess Anne is the second floor sets in a grove on each side and seems very sturdy without the wall, so in this case the thick walls on this dollhouse really help
