It is not as hard as I thought

I made this house...actually "bashed" it and used just the squarish front for a

cottage for my sister.I fell in love with this scale too! Just a suggestion..I might use

a very light grey for the house with navy trim..

if you are doing a village what are you seeing in your head, and go with complementary colors and hues for the entire village, are you seeing pastels? give each one a different pastel color with trim in other hues of pastel, are you seeing bright and bold? give each a differing but coordinating color, colors accross from each other on the color wheel are complimentary as an example. Does that help?

I'm with Debora; picture the entire village and go with complimentary colors for all of the houses. :-) Have fun with it! (And, if you are going for a certain type of village, go online and look up different village types and see what strikes your fancy!)

I thought that was a 1/12 scale house when I first saw the picture. I'd love to have one that shape in that size. I get tired of the box with partitions look.
