The Winston - Front View

Syphon79

Front view of the Winston. Opted not to install the porch as originally shown in the kit -- decided to make the porch the street level (as if the house is tucked away in a side street) and install some "iron" fences leading to the front door.

Adorable house! Nice colors and wallpaper...and your occupant's a hotty too. Love those chops!

<laughs brightly> Glad you like the house Cynthia!

The Widower (still haven't figured out a name for the chap -- a couple of folks gave suggestions but am still whittling it down) is definitely a handsome fella. Out of my male dollhouse dolls, he's definitely the most striking. It really must be the chops. :p

Gosh, I have to decide whether to get some lady dolls for him to make "house calls". He's going to be the neighborhood heartbreaker!

<looks around to make sure her boyfriend doesn't hear it -- he might decide to grow some chops>

Very nicely done. I love the wallpaper and the exterior is nice with the white fence. Hope you put in more pics when you get more furniture. HBS has range hoods of metal sold separately. The number is 13435 and fits under a 3" cabinet 13405/14410. I've used them in a couple of my houses. They are on page 54 of the HBS catalog with the Christmas store picture on the front.

Hi Pat,

I'm actually cruising the HBS website and saw the range hood you've mentioned! Sweet -- was worried I'd have to create it out of tin or something!

Question for you (since you've used these cabinets) -- did you get the DIY kit version or got them partially assembled? I'm not really planning to do anything (though matching the stain to compliment the bottom cabinets might be a challenge) other than set it up. Any recommendations? I'm very curious (saw these same items on eBay as well for a lower price).

Thanks so much!!!
