All of this furniture was from HOM kits. The problem I had was that the cloth was too bulky on the outside edges this sofa, and the middle leg is too short because of it. I need to fix it!

I love your choice in fabrics.  Those fabrics that come with the HOM kits is dull but you've made them look wonderful by using your own fabrics.  I've done that a few times with the HOM kits and I too am sad that the nice fabrics wind up a bit bulky.  I tried using faux suede and that piece in the back doesn't quite cover from one side to the other.  I remembered that when I worked on the next sofa and I cut a new piece of cardboard that was a bit bigger for the back. 

The HOM kits are so much fun to put together.  The pieces fit together really well.
