I had the idea to make this from my own loom.

It's a Navajo Loom and yep, it works.

A little over 6 1/2 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide.

This was my prototype. I'm trying to scrounge enough hardwood to make a very nice one.

I'm carving a comb and a batten out of hardwood too.

Now all I have to do is weave something.

Very nice job! The Mexican hacienda I am completing has a weaver's room, and my Dad built me a loom for it. It isn't like this one, it's the type they would have in Mexico and also here.

I can hardly wait to see when you have some weaving on it. I haven't put anything on mine yet, but I plan to.
