Blue and Cream Toile Canopy Bed

Natalie

This fun canopy bed was hand finished in a cream laquer with royal blue detail and then dressed in blue and cream toile, blue velvet, cream silks and satins and, of course, lots of lace and ribbon!

Oh, be still my beating heart...I too needed a canopied bed for my Tudor era house.I

am not good at building yet and am slightly ashamed to admit that I found a craftsman in England to build the bed I need.I,however ,will sew the bed curtains and bed clothes.

Will send pics when done. I do envy your talent!Very nice job!!!!!

Thank you very much for the nice words!

Lynn, I did not build the frame of this bed -- I almost never do! (My parlor furniture is for the most part 100% hand-crafted though). Instead I refinished an existing piece and then dressed it to my tastes.

I can't wait to see what you have made and how you dress it. I'll be watching for your pics!!!
