inside of microscope box

This is a pretty nice-sized box: inside measurements are 8 3/4 wide x 10 1/2 high x 3 3/4 deep. It has "Japan" stamped on an inside edge, and a tag on the outside that says "TascoDeluxe High-Quality Microscope".

I'd like to do a lab for an early female scientist--someone who used a microscope, of course -- in the main box, and I was thinking that the inside of the lid would make a good spot for a short history/description.
