Lights on!

KathieB

Small progress. All of the lights are installed. Had a bit of a setback when I put in the LR/K wall and linked the tapewires to the grid. One of the sconce lights didn't light up. Found the problem to be a loose connection under the kitchen wallpaper, of course. A minor bit of surgery and all is well. The scar doesn't even show in the red-with-white-polka-dotted paper.

I'm planning to put a pound-in light in the bathroom, but hung a naked bulb plugged into an outlet just to see the effect of light in there. Added some molding to the false wall.

Also put in baseboard in the LR. Had to work around some rather inartfully placed pound-in outlets! And cut some of the crown molding, so that's ready to install.

It is very hard not to stop and put the furniture in, but I'm trying to get the entire house done before the little people's moving van arrives!

I love the colors of your kitchen! Very fun!

Thank you! The red scrapbooking paper was the inspiration. It will have a black woodstove, an old-fashioned sink, and an oak ice box. I thought the B&W floor and tile on the lower half of the walls fit right in, too.
