Wall bashing

Following Tracy's lead, I took out the downstairs wall and reversed it. Am thinking I want to do two things with it ... 1) make it removable and 2) move the door opening slightly inward, so there can be a real doorway and not just an opening.

1) may be a challenge electrically, as I want to put a lighted fireplace on that wall. I suppose I could fix the fireplace in position and run the electricity from the "basement". I'm going to put in baseboards and crown molding, so those bits could act as a channel to slide the wall in and out.

Well, I'm going to sleep on both ideas and see what tomorrow brings. I've set a goal for myself of getting the construction work and basic painting finished this weekend.
