the house is right outside the 'storytime' room/theater in the Children's Room. Lot's of natural light. I did not turn on the lights inside of the house during the photo shot, but there are 1-2 lights/chandeliers per room as well as a front door carriage lamp.

I looked at every single picture, and just loved each and every fabulous detail! I also admire the fact that many people are getting to enjoy seeing this beautiful house. I hope to bequeath my entire collection (still being put together, of course) to a dollhouse or regular museum for that very reason. I would love to know who crafted the display base with the plexiglass enclosure. I have been wishing for display units exactly like that, but don't have a clue where to get them or who can make them. I just finished my Coppertop Cabin, and it has a lot of very expensive detail in it - I have people asking me to do a public showing, but I would never consider it without the proper enclosure.

Rhonda,

you won't believe the price for the plexi cover! $100! Really! The local fellow who made it, I'm pretty sure, gave us a big discount because it's for the public library. The base was just around $600, but luckily we'd won an award for a children's reading promotion that came out right around...$600! There are small holes drilled discreetly on top so that heat won't build up too much if the inside lights are on (they usually aren't).
