The Bump-Out

With damaged side walls and base replaced and front wall and roof chopped for the bump-out, it was time for some tricky math.

Getting the new roof (of the bump-out) to match with the old mansard was an exercise in goofy paper-mock-ups. Is it just me? I couldn't visualize it, so I had no choice but to keep holding paper patterns up until I saw the answer.

At last, it went together.
