Reno Overlay
This drawing overlays the as-built, showing our plans to move walls and stairs, bump out the front, and put moveable additions on each side and the back of the house. (Can you tell I come from the full-size design world?)
We spent about a week or two on this planning stage, making sure all the additions and renovations would work either as custom-built pieces or with stock items we could purchase. In the end, the side addition (on the left in the drawings) was kit-built because we found a great bargain, though we'd originally planned to do it from scratch; we bashed the kit to create completely custom windows and dormers.
If you look carefully you'll see little yellow dots on the drawing; that's the lighting plan for the house and additions, to make sure we wouldn't overdo for our electrical system.
