My Sisters Wedding Dress

Lynette Smith

I made a medieval style wedding dress for my sister's wedding two years ago. she lives in Alaska and the wedding was in my backyard, so guess who was landscaper, wedding planner, and seamstress?

Actually my sisters gown was a cinch (just don't hit your fingers when installing the grommets for lacing up the back :yikes: ), compared to the bridemaids - I was patternbashing! It was a much more complicated gown than sisters.

The gown is made from Winter Wheat (shade) dupioni silk, with the girdle made of a damask which matched the grooms outfit. She wore my 100+ year old Brussels lace veil and my mother's headpiece.

I'll post the wedding photos of the party when I come across the disc.
