My Barbie Bridal Salon.

Lynette Smith

My Barbie bridal salon, as pictured was exhibited at Costume Con23's doll competition. I won Best Technical Workmanship for a Purchased Doll. Amongst the gowns are: a year 2000 silk wedding dress with inverted box pleated sleeves caps, a butterfly bow, a detachable train with over 1000 beeds handstitched and knotted; a hand-stitched Regency era gown from a commercial pattern on a mannequin to the left; a crocheted 1900 gown from Paradise Publications; a crocheted original design on the right; an original gown about 2005 and matching wrap on a hanger; a n 1895 Gibson Girl Gown original design with antique silk lace. Lastly is my first Barbie bridal gown which my mother made for me in 1971!
