The inspiration for the the kitchen color scheme.

I had toyed with the idea of doing delft "ceramic" tiles in the kitchen, then I saw this cup by Spode at TJ Maxx. Since it was a contemporary physical style, I passed it by. My mind kept going back to it. I noticed some colonial dining rooms done in yellow, a color I ordinarily detest, and suddenly it was appealing - in the kitchen.

I went to Spode's site to identify the pattern. It is called Brocato.

Since the kitchen inflenced my choice of wallcovering for the living/dining room, the entire house seems to have to not clash, so I thought I shoould post my decorating muse - it is such an odd inspiration.
