I'm staining the cabin dark walnut - but have to tone down the shine a bit before putting in the windows. I'm shooting for a more rustic cabin so "shiny" isn't going to work!

I really enjoy log cabins, and will look forward to seeing more photos as you continue your build. I really like the dark stain that you've chosen.
