Thanks guys! I was trying for colors that wouldn't overwhelm a small scale building but would meld subtly with the wallpaper shades. Many of my early ideas were too harsh or just bland. There was also a blend of furniture styles I liked, but they didn't necessarily go together as 'decor' (you may know that 1/2 scale is not one for much choice). Our personnal 'real decor' in our 'big' home is such a mutt blend of family pieces from Victorian/Early American (really)/1700's imigrant German/newlywed (28 years ago, ahem....), and 'family', so the little houses don't get a cookie cutter look. We have books from the 1700's, family heirlooms that we cherish with the stories that follow them, and hobbies for modern times, many pets, many occupations...no room to be pretty. I think my smaller dwellings reflect this. Nothing intensely valuable above just cherished family stuff that was continuously used over the generations by frugal folk.
