Mini Man

Photo #1: Here we pick up the story of the lad we spied on the ski lift last year. He's going camping this time, but he forgot about the speed trap in Smallville. The magistrate's office is a wagon pulled by a tractor driven by the Magistrate Bob himself. When he's not farming, he performs weddings, issues hunting and fishing licenses, and keeps the village coffers filled by keeping an eagle eye on folks who don't heed the 15 mph sign. He pulls across the road and stops them cold. (Signs on the office advertise the county fair, high school cheerleaders car wash, a jamboree, and a ham and oyster supper.)

General: This project was completed with materials on hand but for $1 spent for the wheels (from a dollar store dune buggy) and another dollar for the cloth for the judge's robe & curtains. The pickup was built of foamcore board. The tractor and Bob are on loan from the Mardi gras float. (Bob and Mrs. Bob love Mardi Gras. They go to New Orleans every year to help celebrate.) Accessories are made from printies and/or wood, except for three items from my stash: two chairs and the clock on the wall. The inspiration came from a cartoon I saw years ago of a motorized judge's bench zipping onto the road to collect a speeding fine.
