terra-cotta floor tiles 1

havanaholly

I decided to make terra cotta floor tiles throughout for the patio pavements & downstairs. I had read a how-to using brown paper grocery bags, but I recycle mine for holding recyclables, and I had some lovely soft unbleached packing paper that had come with this kit. Burnt sienna makes a lovely terra-cotta color, as well as "rust". I dry-brushed randomly with ochre on one sheet and with burnt umber on another, and cut them into 1" squares.
