Plan A for connecting the tower room to the rest of the house
Once you've made the first hole, it becomes a lot easier to start thinking about all the other changes you'd like to make to the house. One my main peeves growing up with this dollhouse is that the attic room could only be accessed by lifting up the widow's walk. I thought about turning the dormer into a Juliet balcony and adding stairs up to the widow's walk, but then I'd need to add a hatch and attic stairs to get into the room. Big hassle and a lot of extra work for something pretty ugly. Instead, I did a bit of photoshop work and decided the best thing to do was cut off one of the tower room walls and extend the wall. I'd have to expand the widow's walk, but that seemed doable.
