The first cut is the hardest
When you are gifted a dollhouse like this at a young age, the importance of not damaging it is really drilled into you for a long time. Removing shingles that I could easily glue back on wasn't too hard, but cutting into the roof was a big deal. That's the reason I have so many progress shots of it. I wanted to share with my dad everything I was doing so that I couldn't be blamed for wrecking it (I'm far too old for my parents to care about how I'm changing the dollhouse, but it's hard to let go of that guilty feeling).
