I went with a metal roof look for the tower rather than shingles.  It ties in with the bay window roofs now.

The finial isn't finished - it needs a base to attach it to the roof; however, I might scrap it and make a fancier one.  Not sure yet....

Thanks!  It's all done with cardstock/poster board.  I bought a large sheet of black poster board that I'm using for all sorts of things.

I traces the triangular shapes onto the cardstock using the wood piece from the kit the roof sections were punched from.  Glued one side at a time, trimming the edges once dry.  I then cut four 1/4" wide strips for the corners and thinner strips for the vertical seams.  Once all the strips were glued on, I painted with a mix of silver and black paint.

Finished off the base edges with thin basswood strips I painted white.
