Thanks Jess, I just wanted to give it a go - I'm pleased enough with the pewter finish. I like your metallic paint suggestion on the tubing - I'll have to experiment.

I recognize the jewelry you used but not the long skinny curved piece from the bulb to the base. Where did you get that? Also how did you get 2 wires from bulb to fit down the center of the tube?

Cheers Jess. The curved findings are from Joann

They conduct heat very well, be careful if soldering.

The yellow and white wires running from each LED are actually fine enough to fit through the tiny tubes. It took more effort to get 6 wires (3 LEDs) through the series of stacked beads (also from Joann).

I would image all 6 is a tight fit. I switched to liquid electrical tape from shrink tube. Also I've tried soldering them all down to one wire before touching the battery. It's not easy. I haven't mastered it. Yet. But now I can see it can be done. That helps!

Medieval were did you get the liquid electrical tape and is it easy to use?  I’ve just got up the courage to try soldering, it’s easier than I thought....

Home depot. Not very easy. It likes to bead up on the wires. I take some time smoothing out the bumps with my fingers and checking for bare spots. Stinky too!
