Medieval 519 Posted November 25, 2020 Today's work is installing subway tiles. Need to finish, grout, seal with a glossy coat of polyurethane or modge podge? Quote Link to comment

amyole 707 Posted November 25, 2020 I usually use modgepodge. You could also try clear nail polish. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mid-life madness 2,529 Posted November 25, 2020 Maybe do a google search for non-yellowing clear sealer. There was a lot of info to sort through. Have you thought about the brush on sealers by folk art or other craft paint manufacturers? This one looks promising https://www.amazon.com/Plaid-Enterprises-Inc-Acrylic-Aerosol/dp/B000XZXNU6 I have never used it so I can't guarantee anything. ~~~hope this helps~~~ Quote Link to comment
Medieval 519 Posted November 25, 2020 I am embarrassed to say I have that spray. I used it to seal the brick work on the exterior. I think though I will try the clear nail polish as it will be easier to apply. I can put it on with a sponge brush and not worry about it getting on the Windows. I appreciate your help because I totally forgot I had that. Quote Link to comment
Tigpuppy 207 Posted December 31, 2020 (edited) I have used that spray too - works well, but pretty stinky - and you can't use it on something that's already installed in a room. I have also used a spray polyacrylic by minwax that isn't supposed to yellow. They have a brush on version as well. I think the polyacrylic is a lot less stinky and cleans up with soap and water. I would have painted the floor and then poured resin in to the top of the flowers. It think you would have seen the flower "tiles" as a mosaic better. Now it just looks like hand drawn flowers.
