I hope it's safe. I follow your work and the medieval one is my favorite.

I have 1 of those same type shelves loaded with filled canning jars, lots of them. I also have 2 more with my dollhouse kits, wood, furniture etc. They hold up just fine. Mine came with a pressed wood insert for the shelves which I swapped out for 3/4" plywood on 2 then doubled the leftover presswood for the remaining unit. I have had them for several years (the one the canning jars are on probably 15yr) they hold up well in my opinion so you should be good to go. I would watch the wood though in case it sags in the middle. Thinking about rearranging mine to form a workbench.  I need somewhere to build.
