Stove unit

Really happy with how this turned out.. more balsa wood and card!

Fun story - I couldn’t get hold of acetate during Covid (mail order was taking too long) so I was trying to figure out an alternative to use for the oven door. In the end I realised I had laminating pouches! I ran one through empty & used that with black & metal vinyls to create the door. The clock & stovetop were printed onto gloss photo paper with several coats of gloss spray varnish.

The knobs are tiny googly eyes that spray painted black. Countertops were balsa wood wrapped in white vinyl.

The drawer & oven handles were fun (NOT). Again - mail order would have taken ages and i wanted something NOW. Ended up making them from toothpicks, pins, and wrapped paper, with the whole assembly spray painted. Fiddly, messy, but effective.
