Springbook Cottage
First I took a Primrose Cottage kit by Greenleaf / Corona and decided to bash it to make a beautiful and Unique house that would appeal to the Adult collector.This beautiful cottage has MANY upgrades including New Door and three (3) new Windows. The upstairs room has 3 1/2" added to the height so that a 1" scale doll can stand up in. I added a dormer to add "natural" light into the room. I also added a Chimney w/stack and lighted Fireplace inside.
The floors downstairs are unique and hand scored by me to appear to be real stone. The complete inside and out is covered in "Creative Paper Clay, including the beautiful Roof!
The ceiling upstairs has the look of boards to give an authentic look. The floors were hand cut Created and stained and varnished by me. Moving to the Glorious view outside, you can see I added three different looks in the Clay. I sculpted Hand cut stone, Random stone and plaster that appears to be falling apart to expose the wonderful brick detail.
Each stone was then hand painted with at least four different color washes to simulate the authentic and true look of it's real counter part. The base of this house includes many flowers and trees bird butterfly and "smoke" (not real) coming from the chimney. The door opens and closes and the entire house is electrified.
There is one (1) ceiling light upstairs and three (3) outlets. Downstairs has one (1) ceiling hanging light and a lighted fireplace which gives off a nice warm orange glow.
