Patio entrance off the kitchen

Keifer

Not much too look at since its all black but I’m happy with the fact that the french doors work.  I did this the hard way and a lesson was learned.  Instead of cutting big pieces of glass and faux framing it, each piece was cut and framed individually.

These look so real!  I like the door hardware, too.  Is one of these a replacement for the piece that had an accident?

Wow - they look fantastic!  Looking forward to seeing them in the building!  Did you use glass?

Thank you.  I did use glass, I’ve used plexiglass before and I just don’t like it.  I didn’t have a bad experience with plexi...ya just can’t beat the look of real glass.  I buy the cheapest 8x10 frames from walmart and the glass is real thin, I can get a 3 pack for less than $5

Thanks Deb.  Don’t tell anybody but the hardware is just a bent nail.  The broken window I was bummed about is a curved transom window over the entry into the kitchen.  I did break and have to recut a few of these before all was said and done.

Keifer...great great job!!!!   I love the door!!!!  framed glass works well for 1:12.  For my big 1:6 of course, plexi works.  I do use the 1/8 inch ish plexi from Ace.  Love what you are doing.  Saw you went to Bishop show.  Did you see the dollhouse made similar to your and my designs in the hallway?  We all have our own spin on modern design.   Love the doors.  Someone in the barbie world found those "barn doors" in a frame.  They are big but cool.  Is there room for those?

Thanks.  I should have taken more pictures at the bishop show, there was sooo much.  I was overwhelmed.
