The house's walls are too pristine, even for a house that's been freshly whitewashed, but I'm ready to put it aside for a while and work on something else. Otherwise, the exterior is complete, just needs a little tweaking. I had a strip of landscaping that I cut down to fit the front. A financially secure widow lives in the house, and she recently had the old place whitewashed and the roof reshingled. Once I get back to it, and furnish the inside, I think it'll be set in the 1830's. 

The upper story door seems to be pretty typical for houses like this. It made it easy to move things in and out of the upper level using ropes and a wagon or cart below.

I've included a shot of the painted stone walls which were carved from builders foam.
