I’m curious about the paint part.  Is the painting part the features that will not be covered in felt?  Is the horse going to be a color other than black and you want a different base coat so to speak, like a primer?

I admire your methodical ways.  I tend to get excited about whatever I’m working on and rush the process.  I have much to learn grasshopper :cheezy:

First, I would like a grey/roan horse since that has always appealed to me.  Secondly, even if you cover with fur or flocking, the base color can show through.  Since I've sanded down to the plastic in many areas, I'll need to prime those places.  And, since the black will show through the lighter fibers, I'll need to prime those as well.  Plus, you can get finer detail around the face, ears and hooves with paint, but it has to be done before the fiber application.  :)
