First of all, this window is amazing!!  And is the shellac just to seal the wood?  Sorry- just never heard of doing that first.

I have used shellac for years , It's a great sealer , will put on 2 or 3 coats sanding between, then paint get a glass finish that way. Shellac is the very best to work with, dries fast. I use it on all wood projects great stuff - I mix my own, but you can buy it at Lowes or Home depot called Bulls Eye will work just fine. And on almost all projects I will follow up with a top coat of Renaissance wax polish best stuff in the world. made in London.

First thanks - All my walls I use 1/2" ply so everything is built for that. I know they use 1/8" and  3/8" - For some reason the last 2 I built were 1/2" and found I prefer that, Which in reality very close to actual house walls. close enough anyway . lol

Really precision work. So well done:clap:. Looking forward to seeing the paint finish using the shellac and wax.
