Lots of things to finish everywhere, starting with locating where I stored the rest of the staircase!, hooking up the lighting, casting more doorway brackets and moldings. Finishing and painting baseboards and crown moldings,

Yes I ordered my doors and windows from Lawbre for my design. 21 Tall French Country windows, the doorway with fanlight and 5 of the Oeil-de-Boeuf

French dormers for the roof. I have always loved Lawbre houses but wanted larger rooms and higher ceilings, this was a major undertaking for someone like me who had never built anything and had a fear of power tools.

Is that a Lawbre French door in the background? The fanlight looks very familiar.

Yes and order several door casings and moldings from Sue Cook miniatures.

Yep, you are why I took the plunge with the Sue Cook doorcases. Thank you for your inspiration!

I love what you are accomplishing with yours! Some of my castings are now a slightly different color, so many elements of mine need touching up and finishing, Winter is a great time to get back to these projects and to think it took me this long to find a rolling base!

Thought so.....about half the size of my workroom!.....I'll stay with 1/12th even though the extra detailing is tempting.

This is 1:12th ! those measurements include some about a 4 inch walkway all the way around. The rooms large with high ceilings , they are 20 L x 18 D x 2 H. French Chateaus are huge! Just Ask designer Timothy Corrigan he owns Chateau Du Grand Luce in Loire Valley France, he may have sold that chateau and started on another, but I love his style!
