Carpet Shop Interior, Just Painted

Bluestocking

The side and back walls are "plastered" with Paperclay, then painted with Behr Marquee in "Radiant Silver".

I like the effect of the Paperclay, though it required a considerable amount of sanding, both with a palm sander and various fine grits on a block.  But the shrinking of the Paperclay as it dried caused the MDF to warp noticeably, and while weighting the walls for a few days seemed to help, they bounced right back afterwards.  Now we are thinking of bracing the walls on the outside to help keep them straight ...

As I wrote, the shops have always been a love of mine!!!!  You are doing terrific.  Just a thought, have you thought of painting before setting up the walls?  Sorry you are having challenges with paperclay!

(Sorry for the very late response!)

The walls are just dry-fitted here -- I definitely painted before assembling!
