The carpet is a tweed upholstery fabric with a very thin cotton backing. I think I got it at Hobby Lobby.

I have a jacket made out of a similar looking tweed. It never occurred to me to use sometjing like that in a dollhouse. Great idea!

Tweed makes a great carpet, and this one looks especially good.  It gives a nice high-end look to the rooms.  You can find tweed skirts and jackets at your local Goodwill or other used clothing store for a relatively low cost.  I once found a skirt in the perfect very fine black-and-white tweed that I needed for a rug in the Merrimack at Goodwill.  I think it cost less than $5.00.

I love both bedrooms!  and the accent walls!!!!
