how do u print your own fabric for this scale?

Generally, I find a picture of a pattern that I like from online images.  The picture needs to have enough of the pattern so that it can either tile perfectly or it can overlap a little to make a continuous pattern.  By "tile perfectly," I mean that when you put two copies of the image side by side, the pattern on the right edge of the first image matches up perfectly to the pattern on the left edge of the second image, and the same with the top and bottom.   I then start copying and pasting the image over and over in Word, aligning each image to the pattern.  Using Words "Group" feature helps enormously, because it allows me to copy and paste larger and larger chunks of the pattern, so the job isn't quite so tedious. I also Group what I've got periodically and start adjusting the size until it works for me in half scale.  (I've found that you have to select the entire group and go into "Size and Position" and check "Lock Aspect Ratio" before you start playing with the size.  For some reason, grouped objects do not have their aspect ratios locked, so you can end up with squishy looking images if you're not careful.)  To test size, I'll often temporarily insert a half-inch square with no fill on top of my pattern, so I can see if the scale looks right.  When I'm satisfied with the result, I use my color laser jet printer to print onto printable quilting fabric, other prepared printable fabric, or, on occasion, my own fabric ironed onto freezer paper, depending on the weight and type of fabric I need for my project.  When the ink is dry and the backing paper is peeled off, I iron the fabric to help set the ink.  Hope this helps.
